Welcome on ROLEX forum ! The Rolex attempting to be sold to me is a Yachtmaster, which has a lilac/purple colored dial. The website was highly informative, and gave me a lot of understanding about the different rolexs and fakes available. I wouldn't want to own a fake, and I don't want to spend 5K to 20K for a real one, so I'll stick with the watch I have. "sweep second hand" (instead of stopping at each second mark), long minute hand which stretches to the hash-marks on the face, and has the little crown etched into the face (tiny) at 6 o clock, and it's really heavy, not cheap looking. Did Rolex make a Yacht Master in the past with a purple or lilac dial? The website for Rolex only has white, platinum and gold dials for their current offerings, but this could be a prior model watch. The seller claims it's a Rolex with a "cosmetic defect", which they sell at cost to their distributors. Is this BS?
